We are very pleased to announce the upcoming conference of the European Society for Trauma and Dissociation (ESTD) organized by the Institute of Behavioural Sciences in the University of Debrecen, Hungary.
The aim of the ESTD is to increase the understanding and knowledge of treatment methods of complex traumatization, trauma-generated dissociation and trauma-related mental disorders as well as to promote communication and cooperation among professionals working in the field.
It is a great honor and pleasure for us that Onno van der Hart and Suzette Boon, leading and pioneering experts in the field of trauma and dissociation, authors of numerous books and articles accepted our invitation.
Prof. Dr. Onno van der Hart, Emeritus Professor at Utrecht University, founder of the theory of structural dissociation, is deservedly called the father of dissociation in modern Europe. His book, The Haunted Self, offers a theoretically well- founded and practical model to facilitate the understanding and treatment of trauma-related dissociation.
