Neglect is the most silent form of child abuse, and yet it can have many consequences. Memories of neglect have a different quality than memories of verbal, physical or sexual abuse: most patients “discover” they were neglected by comparing something they saw in other children and realize they didn´t have the same experience. During this webinar we will try to bring light to the difference between emotional neglect, rejection and abandonment; we will also discuss the different origins of child emotional neglect and its different manifestations across the lifespan.
